Recap: Nets Comeback Comes Up Short, Fall to Pistons

It was another one of those games for the Nets. Until the fourth quarter came. The Nets played a decent first quarter taking a 24-23 lead after one. It fell apart after that. The Nets were outscored in the second quarter 38-20. They found themselves down 61-44 at the half.

The third quarter didn't treat them any better. They got within 12 but the Pistons quickly turned that around. The Nets were playing without Brook Lopez tonight due to an ankle sprain. He should be back Monday. Anyways, Brooklyn then at the end of 3rd found themselves down 18.

The fourth quarter came. The Nets made a furious run. Down by 18 entering the quarter the Nets quickly made a run. Cutting the lead to 5 with over two minutes to go. They went cold for a while. Monroe hit a hook shot to seemingly out it away with 50 seconds to go. Deron Williams got fouled shooting a THREE, made all three free throws. Then on the other end Paul Pierce drew a charge against Josh Smith. Pierce then hit a clutch three to pull the Nets within two. That's as close as they got. Two big free throws by Singler and the Pistons are victorious, 103-99. D-Will finished with 22 points, 9 assists. Mirza also played well off the bench. 4/5 from three.

Nets have a couple of off days before playing against Philly on Monday.
