Nets Need OT For Opening Preseason Victory

A very anticipated game among most Nets fans was their first preseason game. The Nets defeated the Washington Wizards, 111-106 in overtime. The anticipated Nets debuts of Kevin Garnett & Paul Pierce were short. Pierce scored on the Nets very first possession, hitting a jumper. He finished with 3 points in 12 minutes. Garnett also played only 12 minutes scoring 5 points to go along with 7 rebounds.

Tyshawn Taylor led the Nets with 16 points & 6 assists. Brook Lopez added 15 points. Alan Anderson added 13 more. & Andrei Kirilenko added 11.

This of course was Jason Kidd's coaching debut. It was a success. It's only preseason though.

Nets will play at home vs Detroit on Saturday at 7:30 ET.
