Recap: Magic Handle Nets Easily, 107-86

Coming off a big win Friday night in their home opener against the two time defending champion Miami Heat, the Nets had to feel good. The Orlando Magic made sure they weren't the second consecutive Florida team the Nets beat.

The Magic beat the Nets in every aspect of the game. The Nets kept it close throughout the first half but they absolutely got killed in the second half.

The Nets missed shot after shot. They didn't get the ball down low much at all tonight. They seemed content with constantly shooting jumper after jumper.

It was Jason Kidd's regular season coaching debut and it wasn't pleasant at all. We all expected a lot more from the Nets after their win over Miami but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Pierce added 16 more. Paul Pierce has showed up in his first three regular season games as a Net. Scoring 17 in a loss to Cleveland, 19 in a win against Miami, and 16 tonight in the loss to Orlando.

The Nets next game is Tuesday at home against the Utah Jazz.
